Morgan

“I am very fortunate to make my passion for dance a living. I consider dance my higher power. Without it there would be no me. Being a “good dancer” or learning and teaching isn’t about doing the moves well but understanding what you’re doing and why.”

Morgan’s dance career started at age 8 at Joan’s dance studio in 1996 where she studied ballet, jazz, and lyrical. In high school, she was on the Strath Haven band dance team 2004-2006. Because hip-hop was not offered in her dance school, Morgan learned hip-hop after high school by going to  dance clubs in Philadelphia. There, she picked up the true art of hip-hop by watching the pop lockers, break dancers, etc. Finally, by learning and stealing the show during hip-hop battles she realized hip-hop was her specialty.

Morgan’s dance style ranges from hip-hop, jazz, Latin, samba, reggae, freestyle, and aerial arts. Since 2011, she’s performed  at the Tropicana and golden nugget in Atlantic City. She’s danced at Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Sweet 16 Birthdays, corporate parties, holiday parties. Morgan’s appeared on the social media outlets to promote BET’s “Chasing Destiny,” and choreographed and starred in music videos. She’s also been dancing/teaching professionally for nine years. She currently teaches adult hip-hop in South Philadelphia.
